Let Your Voice Be Heard...

We are all aware that Election Day is right around the corner, but have you given it much thought? We hear all these crazy stories on the news, on the radio, online, and we sit and wonder, how did we become involved in such a political mess? As young adults, we may not express much interest in the debate because we feel we have many other things to deal with, but this is our future. As college students, or even alumni like myself, we have to worry about our careers and our job status in 5 years from now, 10 years from now, basically for the rest of our lives. We see constant struggles in the economy, health care, and job opportunity, that if we don’t speak up now, what will the future hold for the children we raise one day?

Our voices deserve to be heard this Election. I can’t tell you have many times I’ve heard “It doesn’t matter if I vote or not, one little vote won’t affect the election.” Now, for the person saying that, they may think they are the only one who doesn’t go out in vote, but there are millions of people saying the SAME exact thing, that it does make a very substantial impact. Like I said, as we get older, we have a lot more to worry about. This is our generation, our future, our children’s future.

Berkeley College is a proud supporter of its student going out and letting their voices be heard. Check out this brief video which highlights some of our student’s thoughts on this upcoming election. You will see that they want our voices to be heard, as it will help us in making the best decision for our future and for our careers!

So will you let your voice be heard in this upcoming election?

Vote 2012...We can all make a difference together!
